Managing UPS

This tip offers a hint for reducing the amount of power needed to shut down and save data.

When running a UPS you would normally plug your monitor in to allow you to shut down your computer without losing your data. I've found this consumes a massive amount of power for the monitor. Instead, use the F-? /save command for the application you are in. This is very helpful if you left an application running over the weekend, during bad wea
