I am the manager of a small business in Birmingham and in the office where I work there is a small network. One of my employees wants to work from home on his computer.
How can I make it possible for him to still be connected to the network in the office and still have access to the resources we are currently using if he works from home?
Install a VPN server in your office. Allow PPTP and GRE through your firewall. If the employee is using Windows 2000 or XP he can set up a local VPN connection fairly easily to connect. Here's some information on setting up a low cost VPN.
Install your own VPN.
