Thwarting spam
How can I stop the barrage of spam?
Spam is something that seems we just can't get away from. While efforts are underway to reduce nuisances like telemarketers calls to your phone (the new FTC don't call registry), there isn't a clear-cut method to deal with spam. Not only can you address be easily obtained from the variety of contacts you make, but also most of us are quick to use an easy to remember email address that can easily be reached via a spammer's methods. My best suggestion is to take a look at some of the references below as an aid. On a more corporate or enterprise level there are appliances and software available that reduces the amount of Spam flowing through the enterprise. This provides several benefits, including decreased traffic, reduced storage for mail servers, and increased productivity, as users no longer have to view spam on their desktop.
