Absolutely. The standards (802.1ah) were ratified in 2008, and equipment from multiple vendors has been available for quite some time and has already been deployed in the field. However, you have to keep in mind that PBB is still bridging -- you're still running spanning tree between backbone bridges, and you still have to flood broadcasts and unknown unicasts between provider edge bridges.
