Is there a way to tell on a server which client is accessing a file?
Unfortunately, there's no way through the Windows environment to find out which IP address is using a particular file. All of the file permissions and access information is done by the authenticated user accessing the file and since many machines use the same account information, there isn't a real way to dereference the IP address based on authenticated user in this situation.
