How many channels can an AP use at one time?
The number of channels that an AP can use is determined by the number of radios within the access point. Most access points are only equipped with a single radio, limiting them to operating on one channel at any of time however some access points such as the Orinoco AP2000 and the Cisco 1200 can support multiple (2) radios allowing them to operate on two channels (or indeed different bands simultaneously.)
