I am experiencing a problem with our switches. One is managed and the other unmanaged. I need to plug the unmanaged switch into the managed switch. All the ports in the managed switch are configured to access VLAN 218, and all the devices on the unmanaged switch will use this VLAN to access the network. I tried to plug the unmanaged switch into the managed one using a straight through cable, but it is not working. Do I need to configure the managed switch further?
You need to use a cross-over cable for this connectivity.
