Advice for purchasing a Cisco AS5350

We are researching the purchase of Cisco AS5350 (2E1) on Valiant CB. We'd appreciate your insight on a few questions:

  • Do we have to buy Cisco Getways only from Re-sellers?
  • We are going to use a public IP Network, does Cisco come built in with all the cables and everything we need? Do we need anything to ask before we buy this?
  • Is this architecture good?

Out of your experience can you give me any tips or cautions to be aware of, will be greatly appreciated.

    1. You don't have to buy it from Cisco Resellers only. You can buy directly from Cisco also. But it being a small purchase Cisco may also redirect it to a reseller.

    2. When you order the box you have to check that all necessary port sand there along with the cables. You need to specify that ports you need to have and the reseller should take into account cables for the same along with right connectors. Cables are costed items but will be included either by Cisco or the reseller. 3. The architecture is indeed from the Market leader and good. If this serves your purpose well it is good. Check your requirements and see if a smaller box can also help you out. Technology wise there are no doubts but business requirement analysis is the forte you have to look for.
