A recent survey of enterprise network buyers showed that more than 80% agreed with this statement: "New trends in network are almost always exaggerated."
Certainly, there's hype in any technology area, but a big part of the cynicism reflected here can be attributed to the fact that it's often difficult to determine the target value proposition for a new networking concept. It's even more important to determine when a new technology is not the best thing to consider. And that's true of Network as a Service
