This tip discusses a good trick for creating desktop shortcuts for users, so they will be available to all your users.

When creating desktop shortcuts for users, it is a good idea to put them in the desktop folder where all users can see them. Use Windows Explorer, expand the local C Drive, Documents and Settings, All Users, Desktop. Create all shortcuts here that you want all users to be able to see.
