Foundry Networks Inc., San Jose, Calif., announced IronWare release 07.6.01 with feature enhancements to increase network availability, performance and security. Included in the new version are access control list (ACL) enhancements to define QoS policies and control exactly how the network allocates bandwidth and prioritizes traffic, 802.1s Spanning Tree and 802.1w Rapid Spanning Tree capabilities, and 802.1x port authentication used in conjunction with Radius authentication services to prevent unauthorized network access.
