TrueThreat Discovery 1.0 from ArcSight is our Silver Award winner in the network security category, earning consistently high marks in all our judging criteria. Applying advanced data mining techniques to detect, analyze and neutralize all types of network security attacks, TrueThreat Discovery 1.0 was judged to be particularly adept at anticipating and managing less well known, but no less dangerous, threats.

With high visibility across the network, TrueThreat Discovery is able to identify and stop less common threats, such as "low and slow" attacks that can affect multiple devices and users. This product can also catch many threats that originate inside the network, providing early warnings that many other security devices might miss.

ArcSight's product also impressed the judges with its relative ease of use. Unlike many of the other security products on the market, the TrueThreat Discovery does not require any cumbersome pre-configuration and can be programmed to identify threats based on simple yet specific criteria with little time-consuming input.

The ArcSight team provides 24x7, over-the-phone support services for TrueThreat Discovery. The only category in which it did not score especially well with our judges was price; the product starts at $20,000.
