Taking the silver award in our network performance management category is the OptiView family from Fluke Networks. OptiView is a collection of hardware network analyzers targeted at measuring and troubleshooting specific parts of or functions on the network, such as the WAN or VoIP.

Product Leadership survey respondents rated OptiView highest for its ability to identify network problems; 85% of readers called the product good or excellent in that regard. Users were also impressed by the product's abilities in logging, monitoring and reporting and by its ease of installation and configuration. Respondents were least happy with OptiView's ease of integration with other network management products, evidenced by a 37% fair rating in that criterion.

Overall, our survey respondents seem very satisfied with a strong product, and verbatim user comments were all positive. "Spots a lot of problems," remarked one. "This product is very useful and reliable," said another.
