The Hybrid-VPN attempts to bring the best of IPsec and SSL together, providing easy client access with support for real-time traffic.
It's important to note, said our judges, that the Hybrid-VPN is not a combination of IPsec and SSL technologies, despite its moniker. The product is based on SSL in a proprietary, enhanced form.
The proprietary protocol handling provides support for enterprise requirements, such as disabling split tunneling and VoIP support. VoIP is handled via a special TCP stack that eliminates the unacceptable delays of transmitting VoIP over TCP. Additional features like always-on roaming, remote control, and endpoint security are built in instead of having to be purchased as point products.
Our judges found the pricing on the Hybrid-VPN to be very competitive, considering the product's high level of functionality. The Hybrid-VPN costs $11,990 for 100 tunnels.
