Interlink supports new wireless security standard
Interlink Networks of Ann Arbor, Mich., this week announced that it is adding support for protected extensible authentication protocol (PEAP) to its Secure XS wireless local area network security software. PEAP, an emerging standard backed by Microsoft, Cisco Systems and RSA Security, provides a higher level of security than current standards like wireless encryption protocol (WEP).
Update of disaster recovery software
NovaStor Corp. this week introduced a new version of its Instant Recovery. The new product from the Simi Valley, Calif., disaster recovery company allows network managers to access and back up hard drives over the network.
AvantGo launches mobile version of Salesforce.com
This week mobile services company AvantGo announced its support for Salesforce.com subscribers. The new application from the Hayward, Calif., company is based on Microsoft's .NET Framework and allows sales people to access all of their sales information remotely from a Pocket PC. It works with both a wireless connection or through synching.
