Secure Computing licenses SafeNet Soft-PK remote access client
SafeNet has announced that Secure Computing has licensed its VPN client, Soft-PK. Secure Computing will use Soft-PK to round out its VPN solution to provide a remote access client product that will serve the company's large enterprise and government customers. Secure Computing will bundle Soft-PK with Sidewinder, a firewall and ICSA IPSec certified VPN gateway.

BMC Software Inc. and Business Layers, a developer of e-business infrastructure software, have formed an alliance to sell, market and deploy enterprise security management and e-provisioning software worldwide. The combined effort integrates BMC Software's Control-SA with Business Layers' eProvision Day One application. The mutual offering improves network security and employee productivity for global organizations by enabling businesses to automate the setting and enforcing of security and access rights policies across their enterprise.

eDevice announces DSP single-chip Internet connectivity for Ethernet LANs
EDevice has announced SmartStack for Ethernet. OEMs can now integrate the SmartStack for Ethernet solution into any piece of equipment, converting it into a stand-alone client that can be connected to any Ethernet LAN. It combines both the Media Access Control (MAC) layer and the Internet protocols on a single, off-the-shelf DSP.
