No network security topic is hotter these days than network access control (NAC).
The general concept behind NAC is to secure the network by giving it the power to decide which endpoints devices to let in, namely those that are compliant with all relevant security policies, and which ones to leave out. A number of the major networking and IT vendors, including Cisco and Microsoft, have already introduced NAC products of their own and many more are sure to come.
