Mr. Hughes founded Silver Peak in 2004, and is responsible for the company's technical direction and product vision. Silver Peak is a privately held company that develops enterprise-class network appliances for the re-centralization of branch office infrastructure, and is headquartered in Santa Clara, California. Silver Peak is funded by Benchmark Capital and Greylock Partners.
Mr. Hughes previously held senior architect positions with Cisco Systems, Stratacom, Blueleaf, and Nortel. Dr. Hughes has a PhD in packet network optimization.
