QUESTION POSED ON: 12 November 2003
We are programming for CICS sockets and are facing a problem with error 35. IBM manuals say it is not an error. Is there any way to program for this error?

EXPERT RESPONSE
You do not have enough TCP/IP buffers available to send what you want. In other words, you are trying to send too much data before either TCP/IP itself can transmit it or the other end can receive it. This might be an application design problem that you need to sort out.

However, look at the MVS TCP/IP definitions and bump up the number of buffers for a short-term fix. It's the TPCSENDBFRSIZE and BUFFERS parms.
