How do I connect DB 9 and RJ 45 sockets? I want to use both connectors at ends of my CAT5 cable

What communication are you planning? Generally, each application will have a wire map or standard transmit and receive pairs listes. I am afraid I do not have enough information to answer your question. There are several adapters available for this application if you are using standard wire mapping. I never recommend that people make their own cords. Factory terminated cords are your best bet.
