EXPERT RESPONSE
All hosts in an IP network must have a unique IP address with which to communicate. In a VPN, addresses are typically allocated from the pool of addresses designated "private": 192.168.x.x, 172.16.x.x, and 10.x.x.x. When planning a VPN, care must be taken to ensure that locations use non-conflicting IP address ranges, or network address translation (NAT) will need to be used to eliminate the conflicts.
