QUESTION POSED ON: 02 June 2003
How can I install the Cisco 3.5 Client and the Nortel Contivity Client on the same machine under W2K? I know it's going to be difficult as both clients don't like each other, but it is important for me to have both of them on the same (and only) machine. Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

EXPERT RESPONSE
This is a tough question, and one that I wish I had a good answer to. The main problem seems to be that both of these must "shim" the Windows IP stack, in order to get access to the packets at a level that allows them to implement the IPSec protocol. I believe that there should be a way to selectively disable the conflicting components at runtime, but I have not been able to do it, short of a re-install/reboot cycle. Good luck!
