How does thin client software in wireless networks impact on the amount of data transmitted via network?

Many solutions actually run well as thin clients but the catch is the application has to support operation as a thin client for the right network infrastructure. For example, some WAP apps run ok even over a 9.6k connection. This is not true, however, for some WLAN or IP phone ERP/SFA apps that can easily clog an 802.11b pipe if they are run in full mode with more than 10 users.
