The CompTIA A+ exam is not a perquisite for the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA). In fact, there is no prerequisite to take your CCNA exam. However, I would advise looking into taking the CompTIA Network+ exam if you are new to networking. It is a great foundation to start your networking certification experience with and will inevitably help you understand the concepts in the CCNA better.
