QUESTION POSED ON: 03 August 2007
I have a windows LAN network connected to the Internet, but I want to block some users from accessing some sites while I want to block some fully from accessing the Internet but yet be on the LAN. Do you know how I can do this?

EXPERT RESPONSE
There are a number of tools available that can perform such tasks. Not knowing your network, if you are a Microsoft shop ISA is one option. You can use it to control who has access to the Internet and what level of access you want to allow. There are also a host of add-ons for ISA such as any one of the following:

  • GFI Web Monitor
  • FairShare
  • Web Filter

  • Sound Off! -   Be the first to post a message to Sound Off!
