QUESTION POSED ON: 10 July 2007

I have a large network and I want to segment it with routers. What kind of routers do I use, so that my DHCP server does not assign IP addresses to other subnets?

EXPERT RESPONSE

John,

Routers block all broadcasts, meaning that it will stop DHCP broadcasts too, and will assign DHCP to the hosts on local subnets. You can use Cisco routers.
