QUESTION POSED ON: 30 April 2007
Can you hook a Cisco IP phone to a wireless access point connection? If so, what is the bandwidth requirement?

>
That would depend on the access point, its capabilities, the switch port it is connected to and its abilities. But yes, there are wireless VoIP phones. As wireless is shared bandwidth you are smart to ask that question. This will depend on the encoding/compression schemes. But as a rule, 64k-128k per line is the general calculation.
