For the CCNA course, do I need to know about LANs?

EXPERT RESPONSE
You definitely need to know about LANs for the CCNA exam. LAN fundamentals, switching, etc. are pivotal parts of the Cisco CCNA. You can look specifically at the CCNA exam objectives posted by Cisco in which about one-third of the objectives fall under LAN concepts.
