A wise man once told me that the answer to all good questions begin with the same two words -- namely "that depends." In your case, the prospects about which you ask depend on the name and reputation of the institution granting the diploma, where the best of all possible scenarios occur when that institution is listed as one of the "Centers of Academic Excellence" maintained by the National Security Agency (NSA). In that case, your prospects would be pretty darn good, especially if we're talking about a Master's level diploma. Otherwise, as they say on the Internet, "YMMV" (your mileage may vary).
