As for VoIP certification, much depends on whether you want to pursue a vendor-focused or a vendor-neutral focus. On the vendor-focused side, you'll find credentials from Cisco, Nortel, Avaya and other make good choices. On the vendor-neutral side, please look into certifications from the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) and its various certification partners.
