QUESTION POSED ON: 15 February 2005
I am looking for a hosted IP/PBX service solution. What's your opinion on the MX1200? Can it be divided into several partitions or domains to serve more than one customer? Can it connect to a soft switch via IP SIP or H.323?

>
EXPERT RESPONSE
The MX1200 is not well suited to handle such a multi-tenant environment. It is designed to handle one domain and share presence information among all users in a larger company. For medium sized customers you could consider hosting individual MX250 systems; however, for small customers this is not practical. The MX250 can connect directly to soft switches using SIP.
