QUESTION POSED ON: 31 January 2005 I want to broadcast live video of meetings over the Internet and then provide them via video-on-demand for PC users at home. I understand streaming video is what should be used. Where do I go to find the products and technology I need to do this? Who are the vendors providing these products and services?

EXPERT RESPONSE
There are several services. Some are hosted such as Webex (which will allow you to record meetings and post the recordings). They also have several competitors in the market. This is becoming very popular and new products are being introduced all the time. The biggest thing to do is get a list of features you want – secured access or non-secure, registration for participants, logging features, etc. - then compare your vendors. You may also want to find out if you can send invitations through the software, how well the links work with the casts, whether they can be downloaded or if you can set view access only.
