How do you setup VoIP with Asterisk? Do I need to have Linux installed to use Asterisk?

Yes, you should first install Linux then work through the Asterisk installations. You will need to know the configuration and addresses for your network, but the set up is pretty straight forward. There are various online forums where people that have installed the products can provide insight during your installation.
