Carrie Higbie, Global Network Applications Market Manager, The Siemon Company
Carrie Higbie has been involved in the computing and networking industries for over 28 years. Carrie currently works with The Siemon Company as the global director for Data Center Solutions and Services in support of end-users and active electronics manufacturers. She participates in and with the IEEE, TIA, COMMON, ASHRAE, USGBC, ISO, The Uptime Institute, and various consortiums for standards acceptance. Carrie is Siemon's liaison into the company's participation into the Cisco© Technology Developer Partner program, APC's BladeReady® Program and works with other electronics manufacturers and system integration companies. She has extensive background in all aspects of networking and application development as a consultant, project manager, and Fortune 500 executive and has taught at a collegiate level. She speaks at industry events and contributes numerous articles and whitepapers globally. Carrie has won the "Communication News" Editor's Choice Award for two years.
Carrie works with end users, consultants and designers providing assistance with data center designs, network designs, technology planning and network audits. Her speaking engagements on these subjects include Networld + Interop, Data Center Dynamics, Data Center Decisions, Networking Decisions, SecureIT, AFCOM, 7x24Exchange, Emerging Technology Forums around the globe and various sponsored webcasts. Her data center design assistance has been utilized in financial, government, healthcare, education and industrial/manufacturing sectors with assistance towards compliance related tasks.
