Why isn't my router displaying the correct time?

I'm observing that in my Cisco 7206 router, the "sh log" command is not showing the correct time. But when I execute "sh clock" and "sh calendar" command, both are showing the correct timing. What could be the problem and how can I correct it?

The 'Show Clock' command should display your actual time, while the 'Show log' will display the time an event took place. If you're able to track down a specific event (or even cause one to be logged for testing purposes) and see that the timing is incorrect, it could be related to bug in the IOS or some similar problem.

In my experience, I've never come across such a case, so I can't really provide you with much information on it. Again, double check the log files with the displayed time (I would disconnect an interface, check the console output and then look for the appropriate log to compare it) and if you're sure there still is a problem, open a case with Cisco so they can help you determine the cause.

In addition, visit Cisco's Web site and perform a key word search using your router model and IOS version to see what results you get back.
