That depends on a couple of factors. The first is how far you are from the central office that provides the DSL connection. The other is what speed your cable operator offers. The farther away you are from the CO the slower your connection will be. Some cable operators throttle back the bandwidth. Also, cable is a shared media meaning that you will probably not have dedicated bandwidth. You will also want to ask both providers what their speed, cost, and uptime are to assist in this decision.
