I passed my CCNA in 2001. Normally, I would have to recertify now, right? What about the CCDA? And after CCDA, is there a certification for design, integrating security, wireless and VoIp?

You are correct in assuming you have to recertify. If you are deciding to start over with design, you must first pass the CCDA exam. The CCDP is the only professional design-level certification Cisco offers; however, there are certain specialist-level design certifications that you can pursue in wireless, storage and voice.
