What wireless networking certifications are available?

I am a master's student in electrical engineering specializing in wireless communication and networking. I am looking for a job right now. I am wondering if a CCNA certification will help me get one, or if there is a better wireless networking Cisco certification?

When it comes to wireless certifications, you have two major contenders really: You can take your Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) followed by the new CCNA Wireless specification (the CCNA is a prerequisite) if you believe you will be working solely with Cisco wireless access points (WAPs). If you plan on working with a variety of wireless devices, you might want to consider something a bit more vendor-neutral such as the Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA).
