Q

What can you get with MCSE, CCNA and CCNP certifications?

In this Q&A, our expert, David Minutella, tells us what you can get career-wise after obtaining MCSE, CCNA and CCNP certifications.

What are the chances of getting a job in a NW field by possessing MCSE, CCNA, CCNP certifications?
86.234%. In all seriousness, my imprecise answer is that your chances are better than not having these certifications. This is especially true if you are pursuing the professional/expert level of certifications such as the CCNP and MCSE. Hiring managers use these certifications as a filter to weed out applicants who have certified their level of expertise in the field. If you have several years of field experience to back up those certifications on your resume, you have a fighting chance to get yourself interviewed for a networking position.
