What are the delays associated with H.248/Megaco over satellite links? Specifically, when the Media Gateways supporting Megaco/H.248 will be deployed at remote location, communicating with the MGC over satellite?

This will going to depend largely on your configuration for you compression as well as the distance to your satellite and other conditions. The best method to determine if this will be acceptable to you will be to look to your provider. They should have a similar setup with another customer that you could check out to determine if the latency will be acceptable. It will be greater than a land line, more than likely, but if it is acceptable to you – than go for it.
