Q

Should I take the CCNA before the CCDA?

I want to design networks or be a sales engineer to be technical point of reference. I am planning to take the CCDA exam, but my friend thinks I should take the CCNA first. What do you think?
That is a great question. There is a 40% overlap in concepts between the CCNA and the CCDA. Technically, the CCDA is the beginning certification for the design certification track; however, your friend is giving some sound advice. The CCNA is an excellent precursor in achieving your CCDA since you need to thoroughly understand the networking concepts in the CCNA before determining where to apply them in a networking design.
