Should I pursue the CCVP to forward my Cisco networking career?

I got my CCNP two years ago and was just starting my CCIE (R&S)when I got my current job as an Exchange administrator and discontinued with my CCIE. I have also worked as a SQL DBA. I would like to pursue my Cisco career. Would it make more sense to start with CCVP, as I have almost forgotten most of my previous Cisco knowledge? My intention is to do my Cisco Unity which has an MCSE Messaging pre-requisite.

Your plan to get back into the Cisco swing of things with a CCVP is not at all bad, especially if your ultimate goal would be to pursue the voice track for the CCIE. Also, your idea to go after Unity topics does give you a great opportunity to combine Exchange and SQL Server expertise with your Cisco topical coverage. Therefore my advice is "Go for it!" Good job!
