QoS implementation basics

I would like to know the basics regarding QoS so that I can implement it in our LAN. Where can I find full functional details of QoS?

To address your question there are an unlimited number of resources for understanding the basics of Quality of Service. Ironically enough for me, the first time I need to define something, I actually use Wikipedia.

The actual implementations of QoS tend to be very vendor specific with regard to configuration items and options. But this Web site gives you a basic understanding of what QoS entails. It will also introduce you to some common terms. Typically, QoS isn't applied to LAN environments and so the terminology and concepts will apply mostly to WAN terminology or VLAN application.
