It depends upon the mask you have assigned to the router. If its 255.255.255.o than all IP address in the range 10.81.30.1 to 10.81.30.254 are free to be used for the machines and assign default gateway as the router IP address. Mask and subnet of the machines and router should be same. This was first published in May 2003
