Your article, "Understanding wireless antennas - part 2" mentions patch, yagi, and parabolic antennas, but did not mention panel antennas. Is panel antenna the same as patch antenna?

The terms "flat panel" and "patch" are used interchangeably when referring to wireless antennas. Some products are listed as "patch antenna" and others as "panel antenna" and still others as "flat panel patch antenna." I am unable to find a reference that explains any fundamental difference between these types of directional antennas.
