Is it possible to automatically disable my wireless connection as soon as the system connects to a wired network? Any idea where I might be able to find such script or program that can perform this task?

Try using the Microsoft DevCon utility, a command line alternative to the Windows interactive Device Manager. You can use DevCon to enable, disable, remove and query devices on Windows 2000 and Windows XP (but not on earlier Windows OSs). To download the DevCon utility and learn how to use it, see this Microsoft Knowledge Base article. Once you've written your "disable" script, you can automatically invoke that script during Windows domain login.
