Infrared-based connections

I want to try to build a wireless LAN using infrared; so I have a problem with interfacing to an infrared module, and configuration of the module itself. Can you help?

are some problems with infrared-based connections and depending on orientation, and beam angle of the transmitter and receiver. Infrared radiation can't penetrate walls. If you have problems with module configuration, first you should contact vendor support.
