Many solutions actually run well as thin clients but the catch is the application has to support operation as a thin client for the right network infrastructure. For example, some WAP apps run ok even over a 9.6k connection. This is not true, however, for some WLAN or IP phone ERP/SFA apps that can easily clog an 802.11b pipe if they are run in full mode with more than 10 users.
