I have read that WiMax is going to revolutionize network access for companies and residences. What's your opinion?

To be perfectly honest, I would prefer a hard-wired connection. There is only so much you can put in the airwaves. We are continually adding devices. None of the wireless can compete with a 100MB connection and I am a speed freak (I hate waiting on a computer). But that is me. As for Wi-Max compared to the other wireless protocols, it is faster, but still not 100Mb. There are still issues with security and with wireless you don't even have the benefit of physical access restrictions as you are broadcasting and receiving in unlicensed, open air spectrum. I am sure there are those that will think it is the greatest thing, but we all have our opinions... this happens to be the one you asked for.
