Q

I have a computer that browses the network fine but can't ping to the router of any of the DNS serve

I am trying to connect a new Pentium 4 2.8 GHz machine with 10/100 Mbps PCI network card (XP professional) with the Internet accessed through LAN having a 10/100 Mbps switch and router of 670 series installed. The machine browses the network fine but not able to ping to the router of any of the DNS servers. I have other machines on network and they are able to browse the Internet. Could you help me please to solve this problem?
The first thing I would check would be the default gateway setting and the subnet mask on the machine that cannot ping outside the LAN. Verify that these are correct.
